Muirkirk Workshop.
After losing our old workshop in Lesmahagow that we've owned since 1995 we had a disastrous year in a rented council workshop. With none of the promised council assistance and grant aid forthcoming we shut the business down whilst we found new premises. We found this dilapidated old factory in the middle of the village of Muirkirk in East Ayrshire and Jackie and I fell in love. It has huge potential as a home for our family and our business but being short of funds we gambled that we could borrow enough money to start the renovation before we sold our house.
